  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

How to make lula kebab on skewers in the oven from minced meat? Prepare all the necessary ingredients. If you buy ready-made minced meat, buy high-quality minced meat without additives. But it's better to do it yourself. I used lamb shoulder. Green onions can be replaced with onions, but green onions have a richer taste. Any greens can be used. I took parsley and dill.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

To cook in the oven you will need skewers and a baking sheet. Select a baking sheet in advance, making sure that you can place skewers with minced meat on it (step 7). Take skewers at least 20 cm long. If they are very thin (2-3 mm in diameter), you can take several pieces for one kebab. This way the meat will hold on more firmly. To prevent them from burning when baking, cover them with cold water and leave for about an hour.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Rinse the meat under running water and dry with paper towels. Excess water will ruin the consistency of the minced meat. If there are veins and membranes on the lamb, remove. Cut the meat into pieces with a knife so that it is convenient to twist in a meat grinder. Grind the meat in a meat grinder, passing it through a nozzle with medium or small holes.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

To make the minced meat more homogeneous, elastic and not fall apart during cooking, add mineral water to it and beat it. To do this, place it on the work surface, lift it in your hands above the table by approximately 20 cm and throw it back with force. If the minced meat is sticky, the surface can be slightly moistened with water. It took me about 20 throws.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Peel the onion and garlic, rinse. Remove hard stems and limp leaves from the greens, rinse and dry. Chop the onion, garlic and herbs with a knife.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Add onion, garlic, herbs, salt and spices to the minced meat. Knead the minced meat thoroughly, beat again and place in the refrigerator for 30-50 minutes to cool. After cooling, the minced meat will become denser and easier to work with.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

Remove the skewers from the water. Divide the minced meat into 6 parts and form lula kebab. To do this, take skewers and wrap the minced meat around them, pressing it tightly with your palm. Place the lula kebab on a baking sheet so that there is space between them. Bake on the middle shelf of an oven preheated to 200 degrees for about 15 minutes. Then turn the skewers over to the other side and leave until golden brown. Determine the exact time and temperature based on your oven.
