  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

How to prepare lingonberries with sugar for the winter? Prepare the necessary ingredients. It is better to use berries collected with your own hands from environmentally friendly forest areas or purchased during the picking season from trusted sellers. Sort out the lingonberries, remove debris, leaves, twigs, rotten and spoiled berries. Then rinse the berries well and place them in a colander to drain the water.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Lingonberries and sugar can be prepared in equal parts, but those who like it sweeter and who think that lingonberries have a specific bitterness can increase the amount of sugar.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Place lingonberries in a bowl and add sugar. Puree the berries with sugar in a blender or mash with a potato masher.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Leave the mixture to stand for a while until the sugar dissolves. Periodically stir the berry mass with a spoon to speed up the process. Rinse the cans of soda and sterilize them using one of the convenient methods: in the microwave, in the oven or by steaming. Wash the lids with soda and boil for 3-5 minutes. It is better to use small jars so that after opening the lingonberries do not last long and can be quickly used for food.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Place lingonberry puree into prepared jars and immediately roll up the lids.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Store the lingonberries, mashed with sugar, in a cool, dark place. Bon appetit!

I found a recipe on the website for lingonberries with sugar for the winter. We just ate this “live” jam right away to relieve cold symptoms. I decided that I would make this mixture as soon as the jar ran out. I liked that you don’t need to remember the proportions, you just need to take berries and sugar in equal quantities. I ground everything in a blender, it even practically dissolved the sugar. Then the jam sat on the table for some time. And I put the jar in the refrigerator for storage. "Raw" jam is slightly different from "cooked" jam. The taste is a little more bitter, but it is pleasant. But there are more benefits)

Lingonberry is a northern berry! It is prepared without sugar, crushed both in a jar and in the cellar... Cloudberries are also stored, only gauze soaked in vodka or alcohol is placed under the lid...
