I was looking for what kind of dessert I could make in the absence of eggs. Through a search for ingredients, I found an interesting and at the same time simple option for making cherry pie. I made the dough very quickly from the ingredients indicated in the list, put it in the refrigerator and, in the meantime, peeled the cherries. For the filling, I didn’t take a glass of cherries, but 400 g. I really love cherry filling. Instead of flour, I put starch into the filling and poured 100 g of sugar. I put most of the dough with sides into a mold with a diameter of 20 cm, then spread out the filling and covered it with a smaller part of the dough, pierced the top according to the author’s advice, and put it in the oven. I baked a Lenten pie with cherries for 45 minutes at 180 C. It was well browned and the aroma was wonderful. Sprinkle the cooled pie with powdered sugar. I really liked the Lenten cherry pie. The dough seems to be puff pastry, there is plenty of sweet filling, and the taste is very similar to dumplings with cherries)))) It’s like eating a delicious pie, and the aftertaste of dumplings 😊 Thanks to the author for the great recipe!

I love baking with cherries. The dough for this pie is really simple and lean, but not very manageable. I bake apple pie with this dough, it turns out very tasty, now I’ll definitely try to bake it with cherry filling. I roll out the dough quite thinly with a rolling pin, and then put it in a mold. The big plus of this pie is that there is little dough and a lot of filling. So it turns out to be light and not very high in calories.
