STEP 1

How to make lazy chicken in the oven? Prepare your food. Use chicken drumsticks or any other chicken part of your choice. I use steamed rice, it turns out crumbly. But in general, any type of rice will do. Broth (meat or vegetable) can be replaced with plain water.
STEP 2

Peel the carrots and cut into slices. Keep in mind that the final result in this dish depends on how you chop the carrots: grated carrots during heat treatment will turn into pulp and mix evenly with the rest of the ingredients; cut into strips or cubes will retain their shape.
STEP 3

Wash and dry the chicken drumsticks. Sprinkle with spices to taste, salt and pepper. Stir.
STEP 4

Sort the rice and rinse thoroughly in running water. Place the rice in a deep baking dish greased with vegetable oil.
STEP 5

Place carrot slices on top. Salt and pepper the layer of rice and carrots.
STEP 6

Place chicken drumsticks on top.
STEP 7

Pour broth over rice and chicken. You can use natural broth left over from cooking meat or vegetables. Or you can dilute the dry broth mixture in boiling water. It is advisable to prepare the broth in advance so that you can taste it for salt and determine how much to salt the chicken legs and rice. You may not need any additional salt at all.
STEP 8

Cover the pan with foil and place in an oven preheated to 180°C for 1.5 hours. If during this time the broth has evaporated, add a little more hot water to the pan. If you want a golden crust on the chicken, then remove the foil from the pan and bake the dish for about 20 minutes. Remove the finished dish from the oven and serve. Bon appetit!
