I made borscht the other day and wanted to make another appetizer for a hearty lunch. I prepared lard with garlic using a meat grinder according to this recipe. I had homemade lard, which I crushed using an electric meat grinder. I added a head of chopped garlic through a press. I also added ground black pepper, dried basil, salt, and paprika flakes. Stirred and spread on loaf slices. It's incredibly fast, tasty and satisfying. The aromatic spread of lard with garlic and spices perfectly complemented the Ukrainian borscht. Super tasty! The other day they brought us a lot of homemade lard. And I began to look for interesting recipes where to use it. I used this recipe as a basis. But I didn’t just grind the lard through a meat grinder. And first I cut it up and fried it. I remember when I was a child, my grandfather often prepared the so-called cracklings for us. And I thought why not slightly improve the recipe for myself. After frying, combine it with garlic, pepper and salt in a blender. The result was something incredible and very tasty. I have no doubt that the original is no less tasty. Thanks for the recipe and idea.
