    STEP 1

How to make homemade marmalade without sugar? Prepare all the necessary ingredients. First, pour the gelatin into a glass of warm boiled water. According to the instructions, my gelatin needs 40-60 minutes. for swelling. If you want a thicker marmalade consistency, just use a little more gelatin. You will learn all the intricacies of working with gelatin by reading an article on this topic. There is a link to it at the end of this recipe.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Wash the oranges thoroughly in running water using fruit wash and cut them in half.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Squeeze the juice out of all the prepared oranges. I use a mechanical citrus juicer. But you can squeeze out the juice just with your hands.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

No matter how hard I tried, bones still got into the fresh juice. Therefore, I suggest straining the resulting juice through a sieve. At the same time, the pulp will be removed. You can also use gauze folded in several layers.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Wash and peel the bananas. The banana in this recipe is the main source of sweetness. So if you want a sweeter marmalade, increase the number of bananas, but do not forget about the gelatin proportions! Or just add a little honey.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Wash and peel the kiwi. I put kiwi here not so much for the taste, but for its seeds. They will have a pleasant crunch in the finished marmalade. And no expensive chia seeds are needed!

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

Cut bananas and kiwis as desired and place in a blender bowl. We need to get the smoothest, almost homogenized puree without lumps.

  8. STEP 8

    STEP 8

Blend the fruit with a blender until smooth. Don't worry about the kiwi seeds. If you use a regular home blender, they will remain safe and sound. The same cannot be said, for example, about a smoothie blender: the seeds will definitely be crushed there.

  9. STEP 9

    STEP 9

Pour the banana and kiwi puree into a saucepan or ladle. Add orange juice and mix thoroughly.

  10. STEP 10

    STEP 10

Heat the fruit mixture over low heat, stirring constantly. Bring the mixture to a boil. Just one more minute and turn off the oven.

  11. STEP 11

    STEP 11

According to the instructions, my gelatin must be heated over low heat, without bringing it to a boil. Stir until the lumps are completely dissolved.

  12. STEP 12

    STEP 12

Now I will have to additionally strain the gelatin through a sieve, as required on the label.

  13. STEP 13

    STEP 13

Pour the fruit mixture into the mold you plan to leave the marmalade in until it thickens. Add gelatin. Try to choose a mold of such a size that the marmalade layer ends up being no more than 2-2.5 cm high.

  14. STEP 14

    STEP 14

All that remains is to thoroughly mix both mixtures until smooth. Then the marmalade will do all the work itself. For the first 2-3 hours it should rest at room temperature. Then put the natural sugar-free marmalade made at home in the refrigerator until it hardens completely.

It was interesting to try homemade marmalade without sugar. I dissolved the gelatin in water according to the instructions and left it to swell for 40 minutes. I prepared the necessary ingredients: I washed and peeled the fruit. The oranges were large, I took 4 of them, cut them in half and squeezed the juice with my hands. I broke the bananas into pieces and put them in a blender bowl. I also sent peeled kiwi slices there. Blend it with a blender until smooth. Mix the banana mass with orange juice and put it on the fire. Bring to a boil, stirring, and turn off. Heat the gelatin, stirring constantly, until dissolved. Combined the fruit mass and gelatin and mixed well. Added tsp. honey and mixed again. Poured it into the mold, left it to cool at room temperature and then put it in the refrigerator. I made it in the evening, and in the morning I cut the frozen marmalade into pieces and rolled it in coconut flakes. The marmalade turned out great: dense and at the same time delicate texture, the flavor combinations of fruits perfectly complement each other. And it’s simple, it’s very tasty! Thanks to UnicornSteak for the wonderful recipe and I recommend that marmalade lovers try it!
