STEP 1

How to make homemade ketchup for the winter without vinegar? Prepare all the necessary ingredients. Wash all vegetables thoroughly.
STEP 2

The tomatoes must be peeled. To do this, make cross cuts on them, then pour boiling water over the tomatoes. Now you can easily get rid of the skin.
STEP 3

Remove the seeds and stem from the peppers. Chop tomatoes, peppers and onions as desired.
STEP 4

Grind the vegetables with a blender.
STEP 5

Place the vegetable mixture in a suitable sized saucepan or wok and place over medium heat. Stirring constantly, bring it to a boil, then simmer over low heat for an hour. During this time, the vegetable mass will boil down a little.
STEP 6

After an hour, add finely chopped or pressed garlic, mustard, sugar, salt and your favorite spices to the future ketchup. Each time you can add different spices, thereby getting different flavors of the sauce. Mix everything thoroughly, bring to a boil and cook for another 8 minutes.
STEP 7

Now the finished ketchup can be placed in small sterilized jars and rolled up with lids. Or eat it right away, having cooled it first. Homemade sauce according to this recipe is great for spaghetti, meat and other dishes.
