Homemade ice cream popsicles in a blender

Even the summer heat with such a freshener will turn out to be heaven! What could be better than refreshing, sweet and sour, aromatic fruit ice, which does not contain a single gram of chemicals? Unlike store-bought fruit ice cream, this frozen fruit puree contains only natural ingredients. In this recipe I used strawberries and kiwi, but you can just as easily make homemade popsicles from cherries, oranges, pineapples, or other fruits and berries of your choice.

  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

Even not very sweet and not very beautiful strawberries are suitable for this dish; you inevitably come across one, no matter how carefully you choose. On the contrary, the softer it is, the more homogeneous the puree and the better quality the ice will be. It is also better to choose soft, very ripe kiwis.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Pour sugar into water and heat until it is completely dissolved. Add lemon juice. Adjust the amount of sugar and lemon juice to your taste; a lot also depends on the sweetness of the berries and fruits.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Peel the strawberries and crush them with a masher.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Peel the kiwi, cut into pieces and puree. You can use a blender or grater.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Add half of the sugar syrup to the strawberry puree.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Pour the remaining sugar syrup into the kiwi puree.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

I used small plastic cups (100 ml) and wooden ice cream sticks as molds. In general, there are special molds for homemade ice cream on sale.

  8. STEP 8

    STEP 8

Pour strawberry puree into one glass, filling it halfway. Fill the other half with kiwi puree. Place the molds in the freezer for 1 hour.

  9. STEP 9

    STEP 9

Stick wooden sticks into the frozen mixture.

  10. STEP 10

    STEP 10

Pour in the remaining strawberry and kiwi puree, respectively. Place the molds in the refrigerator until completely frozen, this will take 2-3 hours. Remove the fruit ice from the molds. If it gets stuck, you can put them in hot water for a couple of seconds.

My daughter asked me to make ice cream from berries. I made this ice cream based on a recipe for homemade popsicle ice cream in a blender. I made ice cream from black currants (150 g) and cranberries (200 g). All my berries were frozen. I put more sugar in the syrup, 4 tbsp. Instead of lemon juice, I added lime juice. I froze the berry mixture in special ice cream molds (60 ml each). It turned out to be three cranberry and three currant ice creams. The ice cream turned out delicious and refreshing. Cranberry ice cream is bittersweet, but I made it for my son, who loves unusual flavor combinations. He liked it. Thank you very much for the great recipe!

Gorgeous ice cream, or ice to be more precise)) such colors are bright and juicy, such ice will be very useful in hot weather :) Olga, the texture of the ice is probably grainy, thanks to the puree???

Yes, Irisha, it is a little rough and hard, not like ice cream or other fatty ice cream. Strawberry is more homogeneous, because the berries are easily pureed, and the seeds crunch pleasantly in the kiwi ice.

Beauty and deliciousness! You don’t always find delicious ice cream, so last summer I bought popsicles. Now I need to make this recipe when the heat comes. In the meantime, stock up on yogurt cups so that you have molds. Or you can do even less - pour it into ice cube trays in the refrigerator.
