  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

How to make homemade ice cream from sour cream and condensed milk? Prepare food. You need to take fresh sour cream, with a fat content of 20%, be sure to pay attention to the thickness. To make ice cream, it is better to take it from the refrigerator. Cocoa powder should also be chosen from a trusted manufacturer, just like condensed milk. I will be cooking in an ice cream maker, so place the bowl of the ice cream maker in the freezer first. Prepare container for freezer use.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

In a deep bowl, mix condensed milk, cold sour cream and sifted cocoa powder (so that there are no lumps in the ice cream). The amount of cocoa powder can be increased or decreased depending on personal preference.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Mix all ingredients until smooth. You can use a mixer or just a whisk.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Pour the liquid mixture into the bowl of the ice cream maker and turn on the ice cream maker for 40 minutes. At the end of the program, pour the ice cream into a container and put it in the freezer. If you don’t have an ice cream maker, then immediately pour the liquid mixture into a container and put it in the freezer. After an hour, remove the container and mix the contents so that ice crystals do not form in the ice cream and the ice cream becomes soft and airy. Repeat this procedure 2 - 3 times.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Remove frozen ice cream from the freezer and leave for a few minutes at room temperature. Using an ice cream scoop, spoon the required amount of ice cream into the bowls, sprinkle with grated chocolate and any topping (chocolate or caramel will do). It is better not to leave ice cream on the table for a long time; it melts quite quickly.

I rarely make homemade ice cream; I prefer store-bought cones. But suddenly I really wanted ice cream, but there was no opportunity to go to the store. I started looking on the website for a suitable recipe, based on the availability of food in the refrigerator. I found homemade ice cream made from condensed milk. I was a little confused by the presence of sour cream, I was afraid that it would curl into flakes. But my sour cream was fresh, so I took a chance. The condensed milk already had cocoa added; I didn’t add any more. I made a portion of 200 g total weight for testing. And the recipe is so simple, all you need to do is mix sour cream and chocolate condensed milk (in my case). I put the container in the freezer and started stirring every hour. In the first hour, the ice cream resembled a thick cream. After another hour, this “cream” became even thicker, almost frozen. I no longer had the strength to wait another hour) Moreover, the ice cream looked so appetizing! The result is beyond praise! The consistency is smooth, delicate, without ice crystals. The taste is wonderful, not cloying. You can't feel the sour cream at all. Very nice soft serve ice cream! I will cook it again, especially since it’s so simple)
