STEP 1

How to make ice cream from milk and sugar? Let's start making homemade milk ice cream by preparing all the necessary ingredients. Fortunately, they are all the kind that are always in the refrigerator.
STEP 2

Pour the milk into a saucepan, put a piece of butter and place on the stove over low heat. At this step we don’t need to boil it - just heat it up.
STEP 3

Meanwhile, mix sugar and starch.
STEP 4

Add the egg yolks to the sugar and beat the mixture gently with a fork.
STEP 5

Pour a little milk from the pan into the sugar-egg mixture so that the mixture looks like liquid sour cream.
STEP 6

When the milk in the pan boils, remove it from the heat. And gradually add the sugar-egg mixture to it, stirring constantly with a spoon. Then put the pan back on the heat and bring its contents to a boil again.
STEP 7

Remove the pan from the heat and place it in a container of cold water. While the future ice cream is cooling, stir it constantly with a spoon.
STEP 8

When the mixture reaches room temperature, pour it into a container with a tight-fitting lid and place it in the freezer. Now every hour you need to take the ice cream out of the refrigerator and mix thoroughly so that it freezes evenly. Watch this very carefully, otherwise the product will taste different.
STEP 9

After 4-5 hours (this depends on the power of the freezer), delicious homemade milk ice cream is ready!
STEP 10

Now all that remains is to use a spoon to fill the ice cream container and serve. Ice cream can be decorated with pieces of fruit or berries. Bon appetit!
