  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

How to make Homemade cherry tincture with alcohol? Take all the necessary ingredients.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Wash the cherries well in running water, dry with napkins or paper towels. Peel each cherry from the pit. You can do this with a paper clip, a pin, a plastic juice straw (only if it is not made of soft plastic) or a wooden skewer. Take a three-liter jar, wash it thoroughly, dry it and place the pitted cherries with the juice that has flowed out of the cherries into it. My jar was half full.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Grind a third of the seeds, it’s convenient to do this with a hammer (wash it first) and place the crushed seeds with the cherries. This will give the drink an almond flavor. Place cinnamon sticks in the jar.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Pour alcohol into a jar of cherries, stir, close tightly with a lid and place in a cool, dark place for 10 days. Approximately once every two days, shake the jar or open the lid and stir the contents. If you don’t have alcohol, you can replace it with moonshine or good, high-quality vodka. In this case, the original product will have a lower strength.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

After 10 days, take out the jar of tincture and strain through gauze folded in several layers. Squeeze the cherries.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Add honey to the tincture, stir, close the lid and leave to ripen for another two weeks in a dark place. During the infusion process, a sediment will form. You can use any honey you like, preferably liquid. If you wish, you can replace it with sugar, you will need about 4-5 tbsp. Sahara.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

After two weeks, filter the tincture through several layers of gauze. When draining, try not to touch the sediment, there is no need to strain it, it is not needed, it can be poured out. Pour the strained liquid into carafes or bottles for storage.

  8. STEP 8

    STEP 8

The taste will develop better if the drink is allowed to stand open before drinking. Remember, drinking alcohol in large quantities is harmful to your health!

Valeria, this is such a beautiful alcohol! Isn't it a bit sour? Aren't the seeds harmful? Thank you very much for the recipe!

Yes, it’s delicious, yes, it’s beautiful, BUT step No. 3 ---- isn’t it scary? ?Maybe I’m wrong, but all my life I thought that cherry pits were poisonous. Maybe I can do without them? The recipe is interesting and the homemade infusion is delicious --- thanks for the idea!

Valeria, thank you for your answer, that’s it, but I definitely don’t want to sacrifice the taste. Our cherry season has already passed, but next year I’ll try to cook a little.
