Any nuts will do - peanuts, hazelnuts, like mine, walnuts. Choose high-quality, natural butter, without vegetable fats, that complies with GOST. Remove the butter from the refrigerator in advance to allow it to soften.

    Grind the crackers in any way you can. Since the crackers are quite hard, it is better to use a meat grinder or food processor. A blender with a chopper may not be up to the task. The crackers should turn into homogeneous crumbs. Place them in a bowl.

    Also chop the nuts - in a food processor, through a meat grinder, in a mortar, or simply chop them with a knife. I ground them finely, but you can leave large pieces as well. To make the nuts more crunchy and fragrant, pre-dry them in a dry frying pan.

    Place soft butter in a separate bowl, pour in condensed milk, add sugar and cocoa powder. Take natural cocoa; a drink like Nesquik will not work.

    Using a mixer or whisk, beat the ingredients until fluffy and homogeneous.

    Form cakes into any shape. You can make round, oblong, irregular shapes that imitate real tubers. I made tube cakes similar to store bought ones. From this quantity of products I got 9 pieces. Place the finished cakes in the refrigerator for a couple of hours to harden.

I came across this recipe by accident and it made me happy, since I’ve had condensed milk lying around for a long time. I made homemade potato cake from breadcrumbs with condensed milk, but I didn’t add walnuts. Instead, I added more crushed crackers. Mixed butter with condensed milk and cocoa. I chose dark cocoa so that the cakes would be black. I didn’t add sugar, as for me it was already sweet enough. I put everything together, then made sticks, dipped them in cocoa and put them in the refrigerator. The dessert was a great success! My 10 cakes flew away in an instant!
