  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

How to bake cookies with flaxseeds? Prepare all the necessary products.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Take a deep container suitable for kneading dough. Sift wheat flour through a sieve. Why do you need to sift the flour? When sifting, the flour is saturated with oxygen and the baked goods are lighter and airier, and foreign particles, if any, are separated.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Add remaining dry ingredients. This time I used a pinch of dry garlic to add a subtle aroma. You can also add some dry Italian herbs, basil, etc.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Mix everything well with a dry, clean spoon.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Add refined vegetable oil. You can use olive, sesame, rapeseed, corn and other oils at this stage to suit your taste. Pour in the milk. Depending on the quality of flour, the amount of milk may vary slightly. In order not to be mistaken about how much liquid to pour in, I advise you to add milk in portions. I needed about 150 ml.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Knead the dough. It should be medium thick, slightly sticky to your hands and at the same time quite soft.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

If the dough does not stick to your hands, roll it into a ball, cover with cling film and put it in the refrigerator.

  8. STEP 8

    STEP 8

If the dough sticks to your hands, then sprinkle the table with a small amount of flour and, without making much effort, knead it. Do not overdo it with flour, otherwise the dough will become too tight and the cookies will be tough.

  9. STEP 9

    STEP 9

Roll the dough into a ball, wrap in film and refrigerate for 30 minutes.

  10. STEP 10

    STEP 10

Sprinkle the work surface with flour and place the dough on top. Roll out the dough with a rolling pin as thin as possible from 2 to 3 millimeters.

  11. STEP 11

    STEP 11

Cut it into identical shapes. Depending on how thin you roll out the dough, you will have about 2 trays of cookies.

  12. STEP 12

    STEP 12

Place cookies on a baking sheet (you can omit the parchment paper if you wish). Place it in a preheated oven and bake for about 20 minutes at 180-200 degrees. Time and temperature may differ from those indicated in the recipe, be guided by the capabilities of your oven. I baked for about 15 minutes at 190 degrees.

  13. STEP 13

    STEP 13

The cookies should become golden brown.

  14. STEP 14

    STEP 14

These cookies can be made in any shape. These can be hearts, circles, squares, and so on.

  15. STEP 15

    STEP 15

Offer various aromatic sauces, ketchup, etc. for flaxseed cookies.

Very tasty Flax cookies with flax seeds, they reminded me of the Italian small square breads that are now sold in many stores. I really like to have a cup of coffee with these cookies in the morning. Somehow they remind me of the taste of crackers. As for the recipe itself, it's great! It doesn’t take much time or effort and is very easy to prepare. In my opinion, there is a lot of milk indicated; for half a serving I needed 70 ml. I also thought there was a little too much salt, but as a rule, I don’t add salt to all my food. But I didn’t smell the taste of dried garlic, which I decided to add for aroma; next time I’ll add more. Pearl, thanks for the great recipe!
