Flaky rice as a side dish in a slow cooker
Step-by-step preparation
STEP 1

How to cook fluffy rice as a side dish in a slow cooker? Prepare your food. I buy Chinese rice. But with the same success you can use any other rice - both long grain and round.
STEP 2

Rinse the rice under running cold water at least seven to eight times. The water should become absolutely clear. This simple method removes the starch from the rice, which is what sticks the grains together during cooking.
STEP 3

Place the rice in the multicooker bowl, pour BOILING WATER over it, add salt and oil. Stir. It is important to use boiling water; this is also an important condition for the rice to turn out crumbly.
STEP 4

Cook the rice at a suitable setting (I use Multicook, 100 degrees, 20 minutes). In different multicookers, the name of the mode and cooking time may differ, look at your model (read the instructions for your equipment). After the signal, open the lid, stir the cereal, close the device again and leave on Heat for half an hour. If there is no such mode, then simply keep the rice under a closed lid.
STEP 5

Serve rice with soy sauce as a separate dish or as a side dish. Bon appetit!
