  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

How to make five-minute cherry jam for the winter? Prepare everything you need. You only need two ingredients. Choose the most ripe cherries, but without damage or dents. Sort through the berries, remove twigs and leaves. Rinse the cherries well and remove the pits. This can be done manually, using a hairpin or using a special device for removing seeds. Read a separate article about the intricacies of winter preparations at the link at the end of the recipe.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Place the pitted cherries into the pan in which you will cook the jam. How to choose a pan suitable for cooking jam, read the article at the end of the recipe. Fill the berries with sugar and shake the pan a little so that the sugar is distributed between the berries. Don't add all the sugar at once. Later during cooking, taste the jam and add more if necessary. If the cherries are sweet, you may need less sugar.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Cover the pan with the berries and leave to stand for several hours so that the berries release their juice. Then put the pan on the fire and, stirring, bring to a boil. When boiling, foam will form - it must be removed. Boil the boiling jam over low heat for 5 minutes. During cooking, the berries will decrease slightly in size.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Wash the jars well with baking soda and rinse. Then sterilize in a way convenient for you. This can be done in the microwave, in the oven or over boiling water. Simply pour boiling water over the lids. The article at the end of this recipe will help you choose a sterilization method.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Pour the boiling jam into prepared jars and close the lids.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Turn the jam jars over and check for leaks. Carefully! The jars are very hot! Wrap the jars upside down in a warm blanket and let them cool completely. Why wrap it in a blanket? This is necessary so that the jam cools as slowly as possible. At the same time, it will still arrive.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

Store the cooled jars of pitted cherry jam for five minutes in a cool place for storage. Happy winter treat!

Cherry season has come, which means you need to prepare jam for the winter. First, I cooked cherry jam for five minutes. This is the fastest way and thanks to this, the maximum vitamins are preserved. I had two kilograms of pitted cherries, so I took 1400 g of sugar. This combination turned out to be optimal for the taste. The prepared cherries were covered with sugar overnight and put in the refrigerator. And in the morning I brought it to a boil, boiled it for five minutes over low heat and immediately rolled it into jars. There was a lot of foam, I removed it with a spoon with holes. The whole family tried the leftover jam and we really liked it! The berries have become transparent, reminiscent of candied fruits. The taste is sweet and sour, the balance is perfect. The syrup is liquid, transparent, and good to add to tea or porridge. In general, I noticed that the less the jam is cooked, the more natural the taste and appearance of the berries and fruits. The recipe is excellent, I recommend it!

Oh, how I agree with you! Cherry jam has the aroma and taste of a cherry leaf! My favorite jam! How delicious is it with country cottage cheese?)))
