  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

How to make croutons without eggs? Prepare the ingredients needed for cooking. You will need a loaf (preferably yesterday's, as it is denser). If your loaf is not sliced, then use a knife to cut it into portioned pieces. The quantity of products given is conditional. You may need a little more loaf slices. It all depends on the degree of dryness of the loaf and the size of the pieces.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Pour the milk into a large enough bowl, in which it will then be convenient to dip the loaf slices. Add granulated sugar and vanilla sugar to the milk, stir with a tablespoon until the sugar crystals are completely dissolved. Take natural, fresh milk, with any percentage of fat content. You can replace vanilla sugar with vanillin. Use the tip of a knife, as more can add bitterness to the finished dish. Or you can do without it altogether.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Gently moisten the loaf slices on both sides in sweet milk and place on a plate to drain off excess milk.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Take a frying pan and heat it on the stove. Dissolve some of the butter in a preheated frying pan, then add more as needed. Place loaf slices soaked in milk into hot oil.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Fry the loaf slices over medium heat until lightly browned on both sides. Approximately 1-3 minutes on each side.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Transfer the finished hot croutons without eggs to a clean plate, decorate as you like and serve immediately while the croutons are fresh and hot! Freshly prepared croutons are much tastier and more appetizing! Bon appetit!

We bought an unsuccessful loaf. Some bread is delicious on its own, but ours was stale and not eaten on time. I decided to make these croutons without eggs. I didn't believe it would be delicious. And it's delicious! Even more! For breakfast with tea or coffee it’s even great. Thanks to the author for a simple and tasty way to recycle stale bread!
