    STEP 1

How to cook compote from dried apples? Prepare your food. It is better to take filtered or bottled water, this will make the drink much tastier. Adjust the amount of sugar to your taste. You can cook compote without sugar at all; for small children it is recommended to do just that. I always add a slice of lemon at the end of cooking; lemon makes the compote taste richer.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Sort the apples, separating any spoiled ones, and then rinse well under running water in a colander.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Then pour cold water over the apples and leave for half an hour to swell. After this, place the apples in a colander again.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Pour cold water into a saucepan, add apples and place over medium heat.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Wait until the water boils, add sugar. Then reduce the heat, cover the pan with a lid and cook the compote for twenty minutes.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

At the very end, you can add spices - a cinnamon stick, cardamom, vanilla - it's all for everyone. I add lemon or orange peel, then the compote has a pronounced citrus taste, we like it. Just be sure to remove the lemon after it has cooled, otherwise the compote may start to taste bitter. Leave the finished compote to brew for an hour, then it will be even tastier. Serve compote at the end of lunch or dinner, or as an afternoon snack with fresh pastries. Bon appetit!

This recipe was very useful to me! It was necessary to cook a healthy compote, especially since there were dried apples left over from the summer. I also washed them well, soaked them in water, then washed them again and finally boiled them) I love the aroma of dried apples that rises from the pan while cooking compote, it’s so cozy, from childhood. For taste, in addition to a slice of lemon, I added a handful of frozen hawthorn; it is slightly sweet and complements the apples well. And the fruits look like micro apples) I let the compote brew for an hour, and then strained it. It turned out to be about 2.5 liters of a delicious vitamin drink. Compote made from dried apples is tasty, quenches thirst well, and is pleasant to drink. Thank you!

Thanks for the idea... I have a whole bag of my own dried apples at home, I was wondering what to cook with them. I'll definitely try it today
