Custard pie with cherry jam

We take products according to the list. For the recipe we need hot tea, so you can brew the tea and strain it into a glass. Or separately brew one tea bag specifically for making the cake.

Beat the egg into a bowl and add sugar.
STEP 3

Beat everything well with a whisk.
STEP 4

Then pour in the hot tea leaves in portions, stirring constantly so that the egg does not curdle.
STEP 5

Add any jam, I used cherry jam. The color of the finished pie will depend on the jam. For example, with apricot jam the finished pie will be lighter than with cherry jam. If you add currant jam, the dough will take on a greenish tint due to interaction with soda, but don’t be alarmed, the finished pie will be brown.

Add vegetable oil, mix

Add sifted flour and mix.
STEP 8

Add soda too.
STEP 9

And mix well again.
STEP 10

Grease the mold with sunflower oil and pour out the dough.
STEP 11

Place the pie in a preheated oven for 30 minutes, bake at 180 degrees (although adjust the baking time yourself, it’s different for everyone). You can determine readiness by inserting a match, a toothpick or a knife into the pie - they must be dry.
