Cookies with tomato juice

Minimum ingredients, minimum effort, minimum calories!!! I had never thought before that you could make... dessert from tomato juice! These cookies are more like small buns... For those who are watching their figure or fasting, this is an irreplaceable recipe, because... There are no eggs or butter in it! Even my husband, who has a sweet tooth, liked it, although it was not very sweet.

    STEP 1

That's all we need for cooking.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Mix a glass of homemade unsalted tomato with sugar until completely dissolved. You can use store-bought tomato juice or tomato paste diluted in water. Add a pinch of salt, 50 grams of refined oil, soda (do not extinguish). Sifting the flour little by little, knead the dough.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Dust the table with flour and knead the dough until it stops sticking to your hands.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

After greasing your hands with oil, form the dough into balls and place on parchment paper. To make it even more useful, I sprinkled them with sesame and flax seeds, but this is optional))). The cookies are not very sweet, so you can sprinkle them with cane sugar, but the calorie content will increase accordingly. Bake at 180 degrees for 10-15 minutes (depend on your oven, you can check with a toothpick).

We get these fragrant orange “suns”. You can eat five pieces at a time without any harm to your figure. Bon appetit!!!

I still had tomato juice, which my family didn’t want to drink anymore. Thanks to the site, I found a use for it and baked cookies with tomato juice. At first it was not clear how cookies could be made from such simple ingredients). But everything turned out in the best possible way! True, the products are more like buns or gingerbread because of their softness and volume. I had store-bought juice with sugar and salt, so I took less sugar and added a pinch of salt. The dough turned out soft and pliable, I kneaded it on the table. The cookies were formed with hands greased with vegetable oil. You can make very small cookies, but mine turned out the size of a gingerbread. I sprinkled half with sesame seeds and the other half with flaxseeds. Bake for about 30 minutes at 180°C, check readiness with a toothpick. The tomato cookies turned out to be delicious! Moderately sweet, soft, aromatic! You can feel the tomato, but not much. I love tomatoes and tomato juice, so this recipe is a godsend for me. Now I’ll make cookies without sugar, add more salt and spices. I think it would be great as a snack too!

It must be very tasty! I bake incredibly tasty bread with tomato juice, but it never occurred to me to bake such cookies. I liked the recipe and am adding it to the book.
