Compote of pitted apricots with citric acid

Ingredients
Step-by-step preparation
STEP 1

To prepare a delicious compote for the winter, wash the apricots and remove the pits.
STEP 2

Place the apricots tightly, cut side down, into well-washed and sterilized jars.
STEP 3

To prepare the syrup, calculate the required amount of water and pour boiling water into a liter mug, which we pour into jars with apricots.
STEP 4

It took two liters of boiling water for six six hundred gram cans.
STEP 5

Cover the jars with sterilized lids and let the apricots warm up for ten minutes.
STEP 6

Place a saucepan on the stove, pour one liter of water into it and pour in one kilogram of sugar.
STEP 7

Add one teaspoon of citric acid to a saucepan with water.
STEP 8

Add seven hundred milliliters of water to the pan, stirring to prepare the syrup and bring the sweet water to a boil.
STEP 9

Drain the previously poured boiling water from the cooled jars of apricots.
STEP 10

Fill the jars to the top with the prepared syrup and close the lids tightly.
STEP 11

We turn the closed jars over and check them for leaks, cover them with a blanket or rug, then leave them to cool for several hours. Store the prepared compote in a cool and dry place. Bon appetit!
