Step-by-step preparation

Cooking timeCooking time: 1 hr 10 mins
  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

How to make pizza with sausage and cheese? First, prepare the tomato sauce so that it infuses a little, becomes more aromatic and tasty. It will also have time to cool down.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Peel the garlic, wash it, cut into thin slices.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Heat olive oil in a frying pan. Over moderate heat, fry the garlic slices on both sides for 1 minute. This will give the oil a piquant aroma. Remove the garlic from the pan. If you want garlic to be present in the sauce, pass it through a press or grate it on a fine grater.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Place tomato paste in the pan and stir. Warm the tomato paste over low heat for 1 minute, stirring.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Pour water into the pan, stir well. Bring the sauce to a boil.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

    Add salt, sugar, basil, stir.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

Simmer the sauce over low heat for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove the pan from the heat and cover with a lid to allow the sauce to infuse. It will become more aromatic and thicken a little.

  8. STEP 8

    STEP 8

Prepare the pizza dough. Olive oil can be replaced with any vegetable oil.

  9. STEP 9

    STEP 9

Sift the flour into a suitable size bowl to enrich it with oxygen. This will increase the leavening ability of the yeast. If you are using dry active yeast, before using it you need to “wake it up”, dilute it in a small amount of warm water and let it sit for about five minutes. Instant yeast like mine, just mix with flour

  10. STEP 10

    STEP 10

Add yeast and salt to the sifted flour and mix. Please note that you may need more or less flour than I did. Focus on the structure of the test. If necessary, add extra flour and, conversely, add a little water.

  11. STEP 11

    STEP 11

Make a funnel in the flour and pour in water at room temperature.

  12. STEP 12

    STEP 12

    Stir with a spoon first.

  13. STEP 13

    STEP 13

Add olive oil to the flour mixture, stir and knead the dough with your hands.

  14. STEP 14

    STEP 14

The dough should be homogeneous, soft, but elastic, not sticking to your hands. Wrap the dough in cling film and leave to rest for 30 minutes. During this time, the gluten will develop and the dough will become more pliable and manageable.

  15. STEP 15

    STEP 15

Meanwhile, prepare the ingredients for the filling. You can use any sausage. For hard cheese, take one that melts well. You can also use mozzarella or processed cheese. Choose the remaining ingredients for the filling as desired. If you don't want to make homemade tomato sauce, you can use regular ketchup.

  16. STEP 16

    STEP 16

Cut the sausage into thin slices.

  17. STEP 17

    STEP 17

Wash the bell pepper and dry it. Remove seeds and green parts from the pepper. Cut the vegetable as desired. I cut it into rings.

  18. STEP 18

    STEP 18

Grind the cheese on a coarse grater.

  19. STEP 19

    STEP 19

The dough stood a little longer and became more pliable and soft.

  20. STEP 20

    STEP 20

Roll out the dough into a round layer, form small sides. You can do this directly on parchment paper to make it convenient to transfer the dough onto a baking sheet. If you have a special pizza pan, you can use it.

  21. STEP 21

    STEP 21

Brush the pizza base with a thin layer of olive oil.

  22. STEP 22

    STEP 22

    Apply cooled tomato sauce evenly.

  23. STEP 23

    STEP 23

Sprinkle with a little grated cheese.

  24. STEP 24

    STEP 24

    Place the sausage slices.

  25. STEP 25

    STEP 25

    Then bell pepper rings.

  26. STEP 26

    STEP 26

Distribute the olives. You can also take olives.

  27. STEP 27

    STEP 27

Top the pizza with the remaining cheese.

  28. STEP 28

    STEP 28

Bake the pizza in an oven preheated to 190C for about 25 minutes. The edges of the pizza should be slightly browned and the cheese should melt. Baking times may differ from those indicated, as they depend on the operating characteristics of your oven.

  29. STEP 29

    STEP 29

    Bon appetit!

Thanks for the recipe, it turned out good. The pizza is big and filling. But I would add sugar to the dough, it will be tastier. Instead of tomato paste, you can put tomatoes in their own juice, the dough will be saturated and will be juicier and more natural. I baked for 20 minutes at approximately 200-220 degrees

This is simply FANTASTIC!!! I finally found a normal recipe for pizza, or rather dough. I added my own filling (homemade sauce, mozzarella, tomatoes, sausages, olives). I had to add a little more flour, the dough was very plastic and soft. I baked it for 20 minutes at a temperature of about 190, everything was baked evenly, the sides had a slight crunch, the dough inside was soft and pleasant. There was enough dough for two pizzas. I highly recommend it to everyone!

This was my first time baking pizza, but it turned out great. Very tasty dough. It turned out the way my husband likes it - thin dough and a lot of filling. Sometimes I add mushrooms. It turns out very tasty too. Bottom line: the recipe is great, easy to prepare and turns out just great. Many thanks to the author!

First time making pizza. At a temperature of 190 it cooked normally in 20 minutes. The taste very much depends on the type of cheese chosen, but I was lucky and it turned out delicious at the level of an average pizzeria. Thanks for the recipe!

Thank you very much for the recipe! Everything turned out great, only when preparing the dough for 10 people, more flour was needed. They topped it up several times.
