Chicken in its own juices in the oven
Step-by-step preparation
STEP 1
How to bake chicken in its own juice? Prepare everything you need for this. For baking, you can use any part of the chicken - drumsticks, thighs or wings. Or you can take a whole carcass and chop it into pieces. Peel the onions and carrots and rinse them in running water to remove any dirt.
STEP 2
Peel the garlic as well, and then finely chop or pass through a press. Add olive oil, salt and pepper to the garlic. Mix everything. Leave to stand for 15 minutes. During this time, prepare the chicken.
STEP 3
Rinse the chicken carcass in running water and dry with a paper towel to remove excess moisture. Then chop the chicken into pieces and place in a deep bowl.
STEP 4
Pour all of the prepared marinade over the chicken and stir to coat the chicken evenly. Leave the chicken to stand like this for 30 minutes.
STEP 5
At this time, prepare the vegetables. Cut the carrots into rings or just large pieces. Cut the onion into half rings. There is no need to chop the vegetables very finely, otherwise they will be completely boiled during stewing.
STEP 6
Mix chicken with vegetables.
STEP 7
Then place the chicken and vegetables in a baking dish. I have a ceramic mold. You can also use glass or metal.
STEP 8
Cover the pan with a lid and place in the oven, preheated to 180 degrees for 1.5 hours. Instead of a lid, you can use foil to tightly cover the pan. No need to add water. The chicken and vegetables will provide enough moisture to cook. Considering that the form will be closed, moisture will not evaporate. Therefore, the chicken will cook perfectly in its own juices.
STEP 9
Remove the finished dish from the oven. Do not open the lid immediately. Let it sit for a while so that the first heat comes out of the mold. After 5-7 minutes you can remove the lid. Be careful - it's very hot!
STEP 10
Place the finished chicken on plates and add any side dish and fresh vegetables. In my opinion, boiled potatoes are enough here. Bon appetit!
