  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

How to make charlotte with frozen berries? Prepare the necessary ingredients for this. Sift the flour through a sieve in advance to saturate it with oxygen. You can use any berries for the pie. I have a little bit of lingonberries, cherries, black and red currants. There is no need to defrost them first. Melt the butter in the microwave.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

To prepare the dough, take a comfortable deep bowl. Combine eggs and sugar in it. To help the sugar dissolve better, you can use a mixer.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Next add sour cream and melted butter. Mix everything into the dough.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Add baking soda. Gradually add sifted flour and knead the dough. You may need a little more or less flour. Focus on the consistency of the dough.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

The finished dough is quite thick. Almost like pancakes.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Place frozen berries into the finished dough and gently fold them in. It is convenient to do this with a spatula or spoon so that the berries do not squash too much and do not release juice.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

For baking, I take a springform pan (18 cm). Cover the bottom with parchment and grease the sides with butter. Place the finished dough in the mold and distribute it evenly throughout the entire mold. Place the pie in the oven, preheated to 180 degrees, for 40-50 minutes.

  8. STEP 8

    STEP 8

The finished pie will become a delicious golden color and increase in size. Remove the pie from the oven, cool slightly and serve.

    Enjoy your meal!

How I love berry pies! Especially when it’s summer and there are a lot of fresh homemade berries. I don’t want to cook))) I’ve been looking at this recipe for a long time, I really liked the dough. But I don’t want to wait for winter, so I came up with the idea of making charlotte with fresh berries. Yes, I, too, have always associated charlotte with apples) I decided to make a pie with red currants, using this recipe as a basis. Beat eggs with granulated sugar with a mixer until fluffy for about 10 minutes. Add milk, slightly warmed, and odorless butter. Whipped it. Then I sifted flour and baking powder into the dough. But I didn’t beat it with a mixer, so as not to lose the airiness of the dough, but mixed it with a silicone spatula with gentle movements from top to bottom. I placed layers of red currants and dough into the multicooker bowl, but during baking the berries still sank to the bottom. I cooked it in a slow cooker, since my oven was busy, in the “baking” mode for 40 minutes. I turned the finished charlotte upside down onto a dish so that the berries were on top) and garnished with fresh red currants. Charlotte with berries turned out amazingly tasty, airy and tender! The child happily devoured the biscuit, but without the berries, he doesn’t like berries yet, he’s still little, I cut off the red currants for my son) He said “yum-yum”))) And that says it all! This recipe made a gorgeous sponge cake! Thanks to the author!
