STEP 1
How to make a casserole with potatoes, tomatoes and cheese in the oven? Prepare the necessary ingredients for this. Peel the potatoes in advance and rinse them in running water to remove dirt. Cream can be used at any fat content. The fatter they are, the more creamy the finished potatoes will taste. My cream is 33% fat.
STEP 2
For baking, you can use any heat-resistant form. I have a ceramic mold. Grease the bottom and sides of the mold with vegetable oil. Cut the peeled potatoes into slices and place in the prepared pan, distributing them evenly over the entire surface.
STEP 3
Pour the prepared cream over the potatoes. Sprinkle with salt and spices to taste.
STEP 4
Cut the tomatoes into slices and place them in an even layer over the entire surface of the potatoes. You can also add a little salt to the tomatoes. Cover the pan with foil and place in the oven, preheated to 190 degrees, for about 35 minutes.
STEP 5
While the potatoes are baking, prepare the cheese. Grate it on a coarse grater.
STEP 6
Remove the sheet of foil from the baked potatoes and taste the potatoes.
STEP 7
Spread a few small pieces of butter over the potatoes. The butter will immediately melt on hot potatoes. Then sprinkle the casserole with grated cheese and place in the oven for another 10-20 minutes. The exact time depends on the type of potato and the operating characteristics of your oven. STEP 8
The cheese is completely melted. Remove pan from oven. Serve the casserole hot. You can sprinkle with herbs. It will be a great addition to meat or fish dishes. Bon appetit!
