Cappuccino without coffee machine
Ingredients
Step-by-step preparation
STEP 1
How to make cappuccino coffee at home? Prepare your food. Take the finest grind of coffee; grains that are too coarse will be coarse for such a delicate drink. I advise you to choose milk with a high percentage of fat content, it will froth better.
STEP 2
First brew the espresso. This can be done in different ways. The simplest one is in a Turk on gas. Place ground coffee in a pot, fill it with clean water, and stir with a spoon. If you want a stronger drink, reduce the amount of water to 60 ml.
STEP 3
Place the coffee pot on low heat.
STEP 4
Wait until the foam begins to rise above the drink. Remove the Turk from the heat and wait until the foam settles. Put the Turk back on the fire, wait until the foam rises, remove the Turk. Return it to the heat a third time and repeat the process. Espresso is ready!
STEP 5
It's time to make the milk foam. Be sure to warm the milk; cold milk will not froth. Pour it into a saucepan, put it on the fire and wait until the milk reaches a temperature of about 60°C. How to determine temperature? Place a drop on your wrist; it will be noticeably hot, but not scalding.
STEP 6
Now you need to beat the milk. What to beat it with? You can try it with a hand whisk. This is possible, but it is time-consuming and labor-intensive. And the foam will not turn out as fluffy as we would like.
STEP 7
You can use a mixer. The milk will froth quickly and without problems, but the foam will quickly settle and will have large bubbles.
STEP 8
The best gadget for frothing milk is a cappuccino maker. It is created specifically for this purpose. Now you can buy a cappuccino maker in any online store, and it’s not expensive. In a minute, the milk will whip to a fluffy, persistent foam. Pay attention to how small the bubbles are in the milk - this is the correct foam for a cappuccino. To remove large bubbles, hit the ladle a couple of times on the table.
STEP 9
All that remains is to combine all the ingredients for the cappuccino. Take a large, wide-mouthed cup. Rinse it with hot water. Pour coffee into a cup, straining it through a strainer - this will get rid of the coffee grounds.
STEP 10
Pour the milk into the coffee, carefully, in a thin stream, into the center of the cup. This way the drinks won't mix. When pouring carefully, the milk will pour in first, and only then will the foam begin to form. In a proper cappuccino, the ratio of parts is 1:1:1. That is, espresso-milk-foam.
STEP 11
Cappuccino is ready! Serve it immediately to the table. The finished drink can be sprinkled with ground cinnamon, chocolate or cocoa.
