STEP 1

How to make cabbage casserole with cheese in a frying pan? Prepare your food. You will need very little cabbage - a small piece from a medium head of cabbage. Take eggs of the first category, wheat flour, hard or semi-hard cheese.
STEP 2

Wash and dry the cabbage. Use a sharp knife to finely chop it. You can use straws, or you can use small cubes.
STEP 3

Peel the onion and cut into small cubes. To avoid irritating the mucous membranes of your eyes when cutting onions, rinse the onion and knife with cold water. The cutting board will not absorb the unpleasant onion smell if you rub it with a slice of lemon before cutting.
STEP 4

Place the shredded cabbage in a bowl and crush it a little with your hands - the cabbage will become softer and juicier. Add chopped onion to it and then beat in the eggs. Be sure to wash your eggs before using them, as even seemingly clean shells can harbor harmful bacteria. Salt and pepper the mixture. Mix the ingredients with a fork.
STEP 5

Grate the cheese on a coarse grater.
STEP 6

Add grated cheese to cabbage mixture. Add flour.
STEP 7

Stir everything together until smooth.
STEP 8

Heat a frying pan over low heat; mine is 22cm in diameter. It is better if the frying pan has a non-stick coating. Pour vegetable oil on it for frying. Place the cabbage mixture in the pan and smooth it out.
STEP 9

Turn the heat to low and cover the pan with a lid.
STEP 10

Roast the casserole for about 15 minutes, it should brown on the bottom. Without opening the lid, turn the pan over - the casserole will remain on the lid. Gently push it back into the pan, with the browned side on top.
STEP 11

Place the lid back on the pan. Fry the casserole for another 15 minutes over low heat. Then turn off the heat and leave the casserole to stand covered for 5 minutes.
STEP 12

Serve the casserole, cut into portions, with sour cream or any sauces to your taste. Bon appetit!
