STEP 1

How to bake buns filled with cinnamon and vegetable oil? Prepare all ingredients. Take the highest grade wheat flour, the quality of the baked goods will largely depend on this. Be sure to sift to saturate it with oxygen. Then the baked goods will turn out fluffy and light. You may need more or less flour than indicated in the recipe. STEP 2

Warm the milk. It should be pleasant to the touch (no more than 40 degrees), and in no case hot. Why is it important? In a warm environment, the yeast is activated, in a hot environment it will simply die, and in a cold environment it will not wake up. Add 1 tbsp to milk. l. sugar, stir. The sugar crystals should dissolve.
STEP 3

Add dry yeast. Stir.
STEP 4

Cover the container with yeast with a kitchen towel and leave in a warm place for 15 minutes to allow the yeast to start working. During this time, a foamy yeast cap should form on the surface of the dough. If this does not happen, then the yeast is expired or spoiled. In this case, I recommend using other yeast, otherwise the buns will not turn out and your work will be in vain.
STEP 5

In a separate bowl, mix 2 eggs, 2 tablespoons of sugar (or a sweetener that is not afraid of heat treatment) and a pinch of salt.
STEP 6

Melt the butter in a water bath or in the microwave (read the instructions for your appliance). Cool and add to the egg mixture. How to melt butter in a water bath? You will need two containers of different diameters. Pour water into a large one. Place the smaller container on top so that it is about half immersed in water. Place chopped butter in it. Under the influence of boiling water, it will begin to melt. When it becomes liquid, turn off the heat.
STEP 7

Stir the mixture with a whisk until smooth.
STEP 8

Combine the egg-butter mixture with the yeast. Stir.
STEP 9

Add the sifted flour into this liquid mixture little by little. Knead the dough. If necessary, add a little flour or, conversely, reduce the amount. Focus on the desired soft consistency of the dough.
STEP 10

Knead for quite a long time, about 10-15 minutes, until the dough stops sticking to your hands. A well-kneaded dough will be smooth, elastic and manageable.
STEP 11

Cover the bowl with a kitchen towel and place in a warm place for 1 hour.
STEP 12

During this time the dough will increase approximately 2 times. Then knead it to expel excess carbon dioxide, which slows down the fermentation process, and leave for another 30 minutes to rise.
STEP 13

In a bowl, mix sugar with vanilla sugar and ground cinnamon. Vanilla sugar can be replaced with vanillin (at the tip of a knife). It is important to read the instructions before use so as not to spoil the baked goods. If you add more vanilla than necessary, the taste of the buns will be bitter.
STEP 14

The filling is ready.

When the dough rises a second time, knead it a little and divide it into small balls. You should get approximately 22 pieces.

Roll each ball into a thin oval (about 2-3 mm thick).
STEP 17

Lightly grease the surface of the dough layer with refined vegetable oil.
STEP 18

Sprinkle with sugar mixture.
STEP 19

Roll tightly into a tube and pinch the ends so that the sugar does not spill out.
STEP 20

Fold the roll in half. Make a cut halfway along the fold.
STEP 21

Unfold cut side up. You will get a heart like this (as in the photo).
STEP 22

Line a baking tray with oiled baking paper. Place the pieces at some distance from each other, as they will increase in size during the baking process. Leave them to proof for 15 minutes.
STEP 23

In a container, lightly beat one egg with a fork.
STEP 24

Before baking, brush the buns with egg wash using a silicone brush.
STEP 25

In advance (10-15 minutes before baking), preheat the oven to 200 degrees. Bake the buns for approximately 20-25 minutes. I got 3 batches. Focus on the features of your oven. Baking time and temperature may vary. When the buns become golden brown and rise, check their readiness with a wooden toothpick. Pierce the pastry. If the toothpick comes out dry, it's done!
STEP 26

Take out the baking tray. While it cools, brew aromatic tea. Transfer the cinnamon sugar rolls to a platter. If you want, sprinkle powdered sugar on top. Help yourself. Enjoy your tea!
