STEP 1

How to make bulgur in Turkish? Prepare all the necessary ingredients for this. Wash bell peppers and tomatoes in running water to remove dirt. Take tomato juice thick and rich. Homemade is best.

Peel the onion and rinse in cold running water. Then chop not very finely.
STEP 3

Cut bell peppers and tomatoes into small pieces.
STEP 4

Heat a frying pan until hot and pour in a little vegetable oil. Add the chopped onion and fry it for a couple of minutes until transparent.
STEP 5

Then add bell peppers and tomatoes. Fry everything together for another 2-3 minutes. The tomatoes will release their juice, and the bell pepper will become a little softer.
STEP 6

Next, add the washed bulgur and a couple of cloves of crushed garlic to the pan. Garlic will give the dish a pleasant aroma.
STEP 7

Fill everything with tomato juice and water. Add paprika, ground pepper and a little salt. Mix everything, cover with a lid and simmer over low heat for 15-20 minutes. During this time, the bulgur will increase in size and absorb all the liquid. When all the liquid has evaporated, remove the pan from the heat and leave to stand for a while under the lid. 10-15 minutes will be enough.

Turkish bulgur is ready! Serve hot as a main course or as a side dish for meat or fish dishes. Bon appetit!
