Baguette with cheese in the oven
Step-by-step preparation
STEP 1
How to make a baguette with cheese in the oven? Prepare the necessary ingredients. Before purchasing yeast, read the instructions. Since there is fast-acting yeast that mixes with flour immediately. In the same recipe you will need yeast, which is diluted with liquid - in this case, milk.
STEP 2
Dissolve sugar, salt and yeast in warm milk heated to a temperature of 37-40°C. Mix everything. Leave in a warm place for 15 minutes. There should be a foam cap on the surface. This means that the yeast is active and you can knead the dough further. If this does not happen, baking will not work.
STEP 3
Pour the sifted flour into the milk-yeast mixture in parts. It is important to sift the flour to saturate it with oxygen. This will make the baguette softer and rise well during baking.
STEP 4
Knead soft fluffy dough. Pour vegetable oil into the dough and continue kneading until smooth for a few more minutes. Please note that you may need more or less flour. The dough itself will take as much as it needs. If the dough is still sticky and you need even more flour than the recipe calls for, it is better not to overfill the dough with flour, otherwise the finished dough will be too dense and tasteless. It is better to sprinkle flour on your rolling pin and table when rolling.
STEP 5
Cover the dough with a towel and leave it warm for 1 hour to rise.
STEP 6
Now prepare the ingredients for the filling. Any vegetable oil will do. I have olive.
STEP 7
Grate the cheese on a coarse grater. Any cheese will do, from regular Russian to Suluguni. The main thing is that the cheese is tasty, without dyes or milk fat substitutes, and melts well.
STEP 8
Peel the garlic and finely chop it or pass it through a press.
STEP 9
Wash the parsley, dry it and chop it finely. If you wish, you can replace or supplement it with other herbs, for example, dill, green onions, or use a mixture of different herbs.
STEP 10
In a bowl, mix olive oil, parsley, garlic and salt.
STEP 11
Punch down the risen dough and divide into 2 equal parts.
STEP 12
Roll out each part on a floured surface into an even, not very thin rectangle and roll it into a tight roll. You will get 2 blanks.
STEP 13
Place the pieces on a parchment-lined baking sheet at a distance from each other. Cover with a towel and leave to rise for 20 minutes.
STEP 14
Make indentations in the center of each baguette along the entire length and place the filling in them. Spread grated cheese on top. Bake baguettes with cheese in an oven preheated to 180°C for about 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
