STEP 1
How to make bagels with sour cream and jam? This is a very simple baking that even a novice housewife can handle. Take the highest grade flour. Non-watery sour cream with a fat content of 15-20% is suitable. You need a large, selected egg. The butter should be at room temperature, so remove it from the refrigerator in advance.
STEP 2
In a bowl, combine sour cream, soft butter at room temperature and egg. Mix everything thoroughly with a whisk. You still won’t achieve complete homogeneity due to the butter, which will remain in small pieces, so just stir so that the egg spreads well throughout the mass.
STEP 3
Add flour sifted with soda in parts.
STEP 4
Knead into a soft, elastic dough with your hands. If you don't want to knead the dough by hand, you can use a kitchen machine.
STEP 5
Divide the dough into 3 equal parts.
STEP 6
Roll out each part on a floured table into a circle approximately 2-3 mm thick and cut it into 6-8 triangles.
STEP 7
Place 1 tsp on the wide edge of each triangle. jam. You can replace jam with jam or other sweet filling. Jam is good for this recipe because it does not spread during baking. It is important to choose high-quality jam: it should be thick and not spread.
STEP 8
Roll the triangles into rolls from the wide edge to the narrow one. Prepare the remaining pieces of dough in the same way.
STEP 9
Transfer the pieces to a parchment-lined baking sheet. I additionally greased the parchment with vegetable oil. Bake the bagels with jam in an oven preheated to 180ºC for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
STEP 10
You can sprinkle the finished bagels with powdered sugar if desired. I didn’t sprinkle it - they turned out sweet even without powder. Bon appetit!
