It is he who leads the preparations for the annual banquet held after the Oscar ceremony. Wolfgang Puck uses this pizza dough recipe for his signature dish at his restaurant Spago. I tried to prepare pizza dough many times, and every time something didn’t suit me: sometimes it was too hard, sometimes it didn’t fit well, sometimes it didn’t taste right. I am simply delighted with this recipe: the tender, fluffy, airy dough behaves perfectly in cooking, the pizza turns out very tasty: soft inside with a crispy crust. The only thing I didn’t take into account is that it would fit so well in the oven and I made thick cakes; next time I’ll need to roll them out thinner. But for lovers of thick pizza, this is just what you need.

    Divide the dough into 2 or 4 equal parts (depending on the desired size of the pizza). I divided it in half and got 2 thick pizzas with a diameter of 24 cm. Knead each piece for a few more minutes, giving it the shape of a ball. Cover with a towel and leave to proof for 15 minutes.

    Lightly flour the dough, flatten it into a ball and roll it out with a rolling pin to the desired thickness. Then transfer to a pizza stone or a special baking tray with holes (you can also use a regular baking tray), stretch it with your hands to the desired size and form low sides. Brush the surface of the base with a small amount of olive oil.

    Place the filling on the pizza base. I took tomato sauce, salami, onions, a mixture of dried herbs and cheese. Bake in a well-heated oven for 15 minutes until the dough is cooked through and the sides are golden brown.

Thanks for the recipe. The dough is very soft and airy. I used a 26 cm pan and reduced the ingredients by half, so it turned out to be a thin pizza. I loved it . Here's my photo report.

The dough turns out awesome, I confirm))) We rolled it out thinly, we got 3 standard size pizzas. The inside base is fluffy and airy, the outside has a pleasant, delicate crust. I'm now torn between two pizza dough recipes. (this is now my second favorite recipe).
