    STEP 1

How to make buckwheat with pork the merchant way in a frying pan? Prepare all the necessary ingredients for this. Take pork without bones. You can allow a small amount of fat in pork. It could be a ham, neck or tenderloin. To cook buckwheat, I always use a buckwheat-water ratio of 1 to 2. Therefore, in this case, it is convenient to use glasses.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Cut the pork into small pieces of approximately the same size. Heat the frying pan until hot and pour a little vegetable oil on it. Fry the meat until golden brown. Don't forget to stir the meat so it doesn't burn.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

While the meat is roasting, prepare the vegetables. Peel the onions and carrots and rinse them in running water to remove any dirt. The onion can be chopped as desired. I usually cut it into small pieces. Grate the carrots.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Rinse buckwheat several times in cold water. Then drain off all excess water.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Add chopped vegetables - onions and carrots - to the fried meat. Stir and fry, stirring, all together for a couple of minutes.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Pour some of the total amount of water into a separate glass and stir the tomato paste in it.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

Place the washed buckwheat in a frying pan and add water and tomato paste.

  8. STEP 8

    STEP 8

Also, add the remaining water. Sprinkle with a little salt and spices to taste. Bring everything to a boil. Then cover with a lid and turn on low heat. Cook merchant-style buckwheat with pork for about 15 minutes.

  9. STEP 9

    STEP 9

Periodically, move the buckwheat to the side and check the amount of water at the bottom. When there is no more water, remove the pan from the heat. Our dish is ready!

  10. STEP 10

    STEP 10

Place the finished dish on prepared plates and serve, topped with fresh vegetables. Bon appetit!

I make sure to cook buckwheat at least once a week. Today I took a recipe I liked, merchant-style buckwheat with pork in a frying pan. I liked that grated carrots were added to the fried meat along with the onions - bright, with its own unique aroma. I laid out the washed buckwheat for frying, and leveled the grains with a spoon so that they were evenly distributed throughout the frying pan. I poured water with tomato paste diluted in it (I took a little of it, one teaspoon because of its richness), salted it, and did not add any spices. Cooked covered over low heat for 15 minutes. It turned out to be an excellent hot lunch with crumbly, aromatic buckwheat, soft and juicy meat! Thank you very much for the recipe!

I cooked buckwheat the merchant way for dinner. It turned out simple and fast. But at the same time very tasty! The buckwheat was soaked with juice from onions and carrots, as well as meat broth. From the spices I took black pepper, paprika and dried vegetables. I didn’t add any tomato, I just wanted the meaty taste. The whole family loved this flavorful dish. Thanks for the recipe!
