Yeast dough for buns
The dough for yeast buns requires the following products: flour, yeast, salt, any liquid (water, milk, kefir, etc.), any fat (cooking oil, vegetable oil or butter), eggs and sugar. You can knead dough for sweet and savory buns (for example, burgers, hamburgers, sandwiches). Baked goods can be filled with: jam, fruits, berries, vegetables, herbs, mushrooms, cereals. On top it can be sprinkled with a mixture of flour fried with sugar, powdered sugar, coconut flakes, and covered with chocolate or cream glaze.
In order for the finished baked goods to turn out fluffy and airy, the yeast dough for buns must be brought to a certain condition - let it rise several times, periodically kneading it to release carbon dioxide and enrich the mass with oxygen. It is especially important to do this if the recipe contains fats and eggs, which significantly weigh down the dough.
For a recipe for yeast dough for buns in the oven, you will need any medium-depth pan. A regular baking sheet lined with oiled parchment paper will do. Divide the medium-hard dough into equal parts. Roll them into balls of the desired size, taking into account that the dough will still rise. Then we place these balls on a baking sheet at some distance from each other. Let them rise and coat with beaten egg yolk. After baking, we get beautiful buns in the form of a “canvas”, the parts of which are easily separated from each other.
It is worth keeping in mind that yeast dough for buns in the oven should not be liquid and should hold its shape for at least some time.
