  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

How to knead dough for the oven like fluff? Prepare the necessary ingredients. Heat milk and water to a temperature of 35-40 degrees. The liquid should be warm but not scalding. Pour the milk and water into a bowl suitable for kneading the dough, add sugar and yeast. Mix everything with a spoon or silicone spatula and let it sit for a while. The sugar should dissolve and the yeast should disperse.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Pour in the vegetable oil, add salt and mix again.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Add the sifted flour in parts and start kneading the dough using a silicone spatula or spoon until it begins to come together into a lump. Flour varies, so you may need a little more or a little less. You can read more about flour and its properties in a separate article, link at the end of the recipe.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

In the next step, start kneading the dough with your hands directly in the bowl. When you are sure that the dough no longer sticks to your hands, you can transfer it to a work surface.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Continue kneading on the countertop with your hands for 6-8 minutes until the dough is smooth and elastic. Knead in the classic way: alternately fold the edges into the middle and press down with strong pressure. With every minute the dough will become more pliable and it will be more pleasant to work with it.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Form the dough into a log and place it in a bowl lightly greased with vegetable oil so that it comes away from the sides of the dish. Cover the dough with cling film and leave to rise in a warm place for about 40 minutes. Make sure that there are no drafts in the kitchen. From the specified quantity of products, approximately 300 grams of dough are obtained - this is for 6 pies or buns or for a small pie.

I was thinking about baking a cake and came across your recipe. I liked the name of the recipe, “Dough for the oven like fluff.” I doubled the amount of ingredients using a calculator because I wanted to make a medium sized pie. I used fresh yeast in a ratio of 1:3. I left the dough for 10 minutes for the yeast to activate. It’s a good idea to sift the flour through a strainer directly into the bowl of the dough, otherwise I usually sift it separately into a large bowl, and then add it to the dough with a spoon. I kneaded the dough for about 10 minutes, it turned out tender, soft and pliable. To proof, I put the dough in a warm oven for 50 minutes. I didn’t freeze it, but immediately prepared the pie. This dough is very easy to work with, it doesn’t stick, doesn’t tear, rolls out well and is easy to shape into products. Really like fluff! Very good dough! Thank you!
