yogurt is a very healthy food for a child. We have been eating it since 7 months, and even treat dysbiosis with it without pills. I have a package of Vivo Yogurt in the refrigerator, I want to cook it and capture it)

I usually have yogurt in the yogurt maker for no more than 6 hours, so it turns out very tender and absolutely without sourness, which I and my child like) and the preparation itself takes no more than 10 minutes, including heating the milk

When the time came to give our baby fermented milk products, we did not use store-bought ones, but bought a yogurt maker. First, they fermented boiled goat milk with yogurt without additives, then they discovered dry cultures of microorganisms. We enjoy eating yogurt ourselves and the child always eats his portion at night.

It’s nice to read such useful tips, thank you. My children have grown up and we didn’t have such improvised means back then, but now we would have them))) But I’m glad for you)))

I strongly disagree with the comment that says that preparation takes no more than 10 minutes. This process takes me 30-40 minutes. First, I wash the jars and lids very thoroughly with baby dish soap. I fill the jars with boiling water, let them sit for about 5 minutes, then pour out the water, shake off the remaining drops and wait until they dry. I also use boiling water to treat the spoon with which I will mix the milk and the saucepan. It is very important! But then the finished yogurt is stored in the refrigerator not for 2-3 days, but for a week and does not spoil. I heat the milk, add the starter, mix thoroughly. I place the jars in the yogurt maker OPEN. After 8 hours, in the morning, I close it and put it in the refrigerator. I take ultra-pasteurized milk in bags. True, I once took milk from a well-known brand, its advertising is often on TV, but it stood overnight in a yogurt maker and did not ferment. I put it in the refrigerator, so the jars stayed there for 2 weeks, and the milk didn’t even turn sour. I don’t take milk from this manufacturer anymore, who knows what preservatives they add there.

Well, your cooking method also has its place. Everyone has their own subtleties. But it takes me 10 minutes. I pour boiling water into the jars and pour it out immediately (I pour boiling water over them). I pour the milk with the starter into jars and wait) I always take homemade milk. There are no pasteurized versions; I absolutely do not take milk from the store. Homemade and homemade again. There were never any problems.

I also prepare yogurt in a yogurt maker, I take vivo starters, I really like them, like I took goodfood, so the milk barely froze after 12 hours, now I don’t change the starter)) the preparation also takes 10-15 minutes, I wash the jars with soda and sterilize them on the spout teapot.
