Thick hot chocolate with starch

You can add chili pepper to the chocolate using the tip of a knife. The Aztecs called this drink “food of the Gods” and for good reason. An aromatic and viscous drink with an exceptional, incomparable taste that can give a feeling of warmth and fill you with energy.

  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

Prepare the ingredients. To make thick hot chocolate, we need: milk

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Pour 400 ml of milk into a thick-bottomed saucepan. Put the milk on the fire.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Dissolve starch in the remaining milk.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Break the chocolate into small pieces. I had small droplets of Belgian chocolate, so I didn't break anything into pieces.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

As soon as steam begins to rise above the milk, place chocolate pieces in a saucepan and add sugar. Bring the milk to a boil over low heat, stirring constantly. Chocolate and sugar should be completely dissolved.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

As soon as the milk boils, pour in the remaining milk with starch in a thin stream, without ceasing to stir. Continuing to stir, cook the chocolate over low heat until it thickens to the desired consistency.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

Pour hot chocolate into cups. Decorate the top with marshmallow pieces and sprinkle with cocoa. Serve immediately. Bon appetit!

Thick hot chocolate with starch is my weakness) When I need to cheer up and be in good shape, I cook something chocolate. I like the thick version of chocolate so that I can eat it with a spoon as a dessert. Therefore, I really welcome the presence of corn starch in the composition. I usually make this drink from dark chocolate, but today I used milk chocolate as an experiment. It turned out that it melts a little longer and becomes even sweeter when hot. Marshmallow also gives off its sweetness when melted. I concluded that in this case it is better not to add sugar at all or use milk and dark chocolate 50/50. My drink turned out thick, as it should be. He is very gentle, like a cloud. It’s so nice to take it with a spoon and enjoy delicious chocolate) Instead of cocoa powder, I sprinkled grated chocolate on top. Although cocoa would give the necessary bitterness) A wonderful drink, I liked it! I didn’t dare add chili)))
