  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

To prepare delicious strawberry jam with pieces of berries, prepare the necessary ingredients and a vegetable gelatin substitute Agar-agar.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Before you start preparing the jam according to the recipe, you need to sort out one kilogram of strawberries, remove the stems and rinse the berries well under running water, then place the berries on a paper towel to absorb excess moisture.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Cut into medium-sized pieces, but do not chop a third of the strawberries.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Place the chopped strawberries in a suitable pan with a thick bottom and pour six hundred grams of sugar into it.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Blend the remaining berries with a blender and turn on the stove over medium heat, place the pan with the berries on it and stirring until it comes to a boil, adding one teaspoon of butter in the process, as it effectively prevents the formation of foam.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Place the twisted berries in a common pan, reduce the heat on the stove to low and cook the berries, stirring constantly for another ten minutes, then turn off the stove, remove the pan from the stove and let the jam cool for fifteen minutes.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

We use a vegetable pectin substance in the recipe, which replaces gelatin, add two teaspoons of agar-agar to a bowl with two tablespoons of sugar and mix.

  8. STEP 8

    STEP 8

Place the pan with the jam back on the stove, bring it to a boil and pour the mixture of sugar and agar-agar into it and mix thoroughly. Jam using pectin has a lower calorie content and requires much less sugar during its preparation. Cook the jam for exactly ten minutes from the moment it boils, stirring it well all the time.

  9. STEP 9

    STEP 9

Pour the jam into jars while hot, pre-sterilize them in the oven and close with suitable lids. We are preparing delicious strawberry jam for the winter, so that later, on cold evenings, we can enjoy the wonderful summer aromas of this magnificent dessert.
