Stewed carrots with prunes
An unexpectedly pleasant combination of flavors, a finger-licking spicy dessert. I took up this dish by accident: there were a lot of carrots in the house. I didn’t think or expect that carrots would be good in dessert. And here comes the discovery: the dish turned out to be amazingly delicious!
We forgot about it that evening and ate it for dessert in the morning. The three of us ate everything at once, and also thought that it wouldn’t be enough...:))) I understand that the important conditions when preparing this dish are adherence to technology, high-quality products, evaporation of excess moisture when stewing for more than an hour.
And it’s also important: it’s very good that we forgot about the dish at first, it brewed, became even more aromatic and rich in taste, and in consistency it’s just a miracle, it resembled either soft marmalade or thick jam.
Not only that, I was also enlightened before preparing this wonderfully tasty, aromatic dish by reading about it on the Internet. I found out that this dish of Jewish cuisine is called Tzimes. There are several options for preparing this dessert. In front of you is one of them.
Try it too, I hope you will like this dessert too!
