Spaghetti sauce made from tomato paste
Ingredients
Step-by-step preparation
STEP 1
How to make homemade spaghetti sauce from tomato paste? Prepare all the necessary ingredients. Tomato paste should not contain unnecessary additives, only tomatoes, or tomato juice, or tomato puree. In addition to garlic, you can add onion to the sauce, it must first be cut and then fried like garlic. Take any greens, just basil, as a representative of Italian cuisine, fits best. You can replace fresh herbs with dry seasonings.
STEP 2
Crush the garlic with the blade of a knife, pressing firmly on the clove. Peel each slice of husk. Next, you can finely chop it if you like garlic. I just fry it, then remove it.
STEP 3
If you are using fresh basil, rinse it well and dry it. Then chop finely. My frozen basil was already chopped, I just chopped it more with a knife.
STEP 4
Take a frying pan or saucepan, depending on the volume of sauce you want to end up with. But I advise you to take dishes with high sides; the sauce “spits” very much when cooking. Place the cooking utensil on the fire. Pour oil into it. Add garlic and fry it for a few minutes. I then removed the fried slices, you can leave them. The aroma that the garlic gave to the oil when frying is enough for me.
STEP 5
Add tomato paste and water and mix well until smooth. Boil the sauce for about 3 minutes.
STEP 6
Add herbs, salt and pepper. Stir. Keep the sauce on the heat for another minute; it will bubble vigorously. Stir again. The sauce is ready. Bon appetit!
