STEP 1
How to make tomato-sour cream sauce with vegetables? Prepare the necessary ingredients for this. The proportions and quantity of vegetables can be slightly changed according to your taste and availability. Sour cream can be of any fat content. The thicker it is, the creamier the finished gravy will taste.
STEP 2
Peel the onion and garlic, rinse in cold water and chop. Finely chop the onion, and you can simply cut the garlic into slices.
STEP 3
Heat the frying pan until hot and pour a little vegetable oil onto it. Add chopped onion and fry for a minute. It will become a little softer. Then add garlic to it. Garlic will produce a characteristic aroma.
STEP 4
Wash the bell pepper in running water, remove the stem and core with seeds, cut into small cubes.
STEP 5
Place the peppers in the pan with the onions. Stir. Cover with a lid and simmer over low heat for 3-5 minutes. During this time, the pepper will become softer. There should be enough juice from the vegetables so that they do not start to burn. If necessary, you can add 2-3 tablespoons of water.
STEP 6
Wash the tomatoes in running water and cut into cubes. Add chopped tomatoes to the pan. Warm everything together for 1-2 minutes. The tomatoes will quickly produce juice.
STEP 7
Add salt and spices to taste. For spices I use ground pepper and dried basil. If you like lightly stewed vegetables, then you can move on to the next step. I like a more uniform consistency. so I leave it to simmer for another 12-15 minutes.
STEP 8
Pour in hot water. Add sour cream and chopped herbs. Mix everything and bring to a boil.
STEP 9
Sour cream sauce, gravy with vegetables is ready! It can be added to a side dish of spaghetti or mashed potatoes. Bon appetit!
