When you want to remember warm spring days, you just have to cook sorrel cabbage soup with egg and it’s as if you’re transported to sunny May. We always have canned sorrel at home, so getting it in February was not a problem. I prepared everything according to the recipe, the only thing is that I beat a few eggs in a bowl and add them to the boiling soup. But just like the author, I always boil an extra couple of eggs for the children; they love it when the halves float in the soup. It turned out very tasty.

I cooked green borscht (usually sorrel cabbage soup with egg) using chicken broth. I usually don’t fry it, since I cook for children, but this time I followed the author’s recipe, only instead of carrots I added fresh tomatoes to make the cabbage soup more acidic, and fried it just a little.
