The taste is neither like white bread nor a bun - more like a baguette, but more delicate). They are very convenient to take on the road, for a snack, give to a child at school, make a hot dog with homemade sausage))) And it’s also very, very tasty to spread such warm bread with butter with morning coffee... fabulous taste and aroma)) It is very convenient (as I did) to use a bread machine to knead the dough. If not, then just knead the dough as usual)

If you don’t have a bread machine, first stir the yeast and sugar in warm water. Leave for 10 minutes. In a separate bowl, mix flour, salt and milk powder. Pour the yeast mixture into the flour mixture and knead. Then stir in the butter. Knead everything thoroughly. Form a bun, cover with a towel, leave in a warm place for 1-1.5 hours to rise).

    Well, if we make it in a bread machine, then we put in the food and set the “dough” program. It lasts 1.5 hours.

    Divide the dough into equal balls, sprinkle with water and leave for 20 minutes. (I divided by “eye”, but then I weighed the finished bread and they all turned out the same - 60-62 grams each)

    Then, either with a rolling pin or with your hands, roll out the cake and roll it tightly into a roll. We do this with all the balls)

    Cover a baking sheet with parchment or a silicone mat, lay out our breads, make cuts with a sharp knife, sprinkle with water again and leave for 30-40 minutes until the dough increases in size.

    Preheat the oven to 180 degrees. Now that the bread has increased, put it in the oven for 20-25 minutes, temperature 180 degrees.

I make them at home from time to time, but I didn’t think of posting the recipe))) And then I saw them in new recipes, and remembered that I haven’t made them for a long time... in the evening I prepared 12 pieces “Shurik style”))) In the morning there were 3 sausages and 3 buns and homemade mayonnaise left))) and my son says - I want a hot dog)) Without hesitation, I cut the bun, put the sausage in the microwave for half a minute... oh... what a aroma it was... and how soft it was... .. well, I added a drop of mayonnaise ..ketchup (I confess - purchased) in general, girls - the hot dog is the bomb))) I still want to post the recipe for my sausages... and hot dog) )))

Thanks again for the recipe. I made it with garlic and herbs, sprinkled with grated cheese. I think it will be what you need for borscht.
