Salt the lard with garlic and a mixture of peppers

A very simple and tasty method of dry salting that everyone will definitely like! I always salt lard myself in a variety of ways: in onion skins, in brine, in a jar, etc. This method is the easiest and fastest and I want to share it. And although I am not keen on lard, my husband loves and praises it very much. I salt this piece of bacon for him!

  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

That's all the necessary ingredients. Take the lard that you like. My husband loves lard without layers, so I took it.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Pass the garlic through a press

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Add salt and spices. Don’t worry that there is a lot of salt - the lard will take as much as you need - no more, no less

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

    Mix well

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Rub the resulting mixture onto a piece of lard on all sides. Then wrap it in cling film or foil. I just put it in the bag. Now we leave it at room temperature for 6-8 hours, and then put it in the refrigerator for 1.5-2 days

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

We take it out of the refrigerator - our lard is already ready, you can cut it. Classic - salted lard with borscht or fried potatoes.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

    Bon appetit!
