Quick pies with dry yeast

Ingredients
Step-by-step preparation
STEP 1

How to make quick pies with dry yeast in a frying pan? Prepare all the necessary ingredients. Heat half the water (125 ml) in an iron bowl to a temperature of 37-40 degrees; at a higher temperature, the yeast will die. Pour it into a bowl in which we will knead the dough, add yeast, sugar and salt, pour in vegetable oil. How to properly replace and work with yeast, read the article about yeast, link at the end of this recipe.
STEP 2

Stir until sugar and salt dissolve.
STEP 3

Add sifted flour. I poured in 320 grams at once. You can add most of the flour first and then adjust the consistency of the dough on the bench in the second step described below.
STEP 4

Mix everything thoroughly with a spoon until all the water is absorbed into the flour.
STEP 5

Boil the rest of the water (125 ml) and pour it into the bowl with the dough.
STEP 6

Quickly stir the dough until all flour lumps disappear. The dough will be quite sticky.
STEP 7

Sprinkle the table with sifted flour and lay out the dough. Knead it with your hands, gradually adding flour. Remember that you may need less or more flour, depending on its properties. Read more about this in the article, the link is at the end of this recipe. What consistency should the dough be? Once it is no longer sticky, do not add any more flour.
STEP 8

Quick dough for pies made with dry yeast and water turns out pliable and elastic. Form it into a ball. He won't need any time to proof. We'll cook right away.
STEP 9

Divide the dough into equal pieces and roll them into balls. I got 7 pieces weighing approximately 70-75 grams. You can divide the dough into 10 pieces weighing about 50 grams each so that the pies come out smaller.
STEP 10

Mash each piece with your hands into a medium-thick cake. Place the filling. I used mashed potatoes mixed with fried onions as a filling. You can fill the pies with stewed cabbage, cottage cheese, jam or anything else you like.
STEP 11

Pinch the edges tightly, forming an oblong pie. Press the seam slightly.
STEP 12

Heat a frying pan with the addition of vegetable oil, which should reach half the height of the pies. My frying pan has a bottom diameter of 20 centimeters, I needed 200 ml of oil. Fry the pies over medium heat on one side until browned. I fried them for about 5-7 minutes. How to choose the ideal frying pan and oil for frying, read the articles, links at the end of this recipe.
STEP 13

Turn them over to the other side and fry until done. It took me another 5 minutes. Remove the finished pies from the pan and fry the next batch. I didn't add any more oil. The pies turned out not greasy, so I didn’t need a paper towel.
