STEP 1

How to bake potatoes with apples in the oven? Prepare the necessary ingredients for this. Peel the potatoes in advance and rinse them in running water to remove dirt. Choose apples with a sweet and sour taste. You can use sour cream of any fat content. Take any cheese, as long as it is tasty, of high quality, without milk fat substitutes, and melts well.
STEP 2

Cut the peeled potatoes into thin slices into a deep bowl.
STEP 3

Pour in vegetable oil. Add salt and spices to taste. Mix everything. It is convenient to stir the potatoes with your hands to separate the potato slices from each other. This way they will be oiled more evenly. Thanks to the oil film, the potatoes will not dry out in the oven.
STEP 4

Also cut the apples into thin slices and add to the bowl with the potatoes.
STEP 5

Add sour cream and mix everything so that the sour cream is evenly distributed between the potatoes and apples.
STEP 6

Any heat-resistant form is suitable for baking. I take the ceramic one. Place the prepared apples and potatoes into the chosen form and spread in an even layer. Place the pan in the oven, preheated to 180 degrees and bake for about 35-40 minutes. The times are approximate, use your oven as a guide. The potatoes should become soft. If the potatoes are browned but not yet baked, cover the pan with foil.
STEP 7

Towards the end of baking, grate the cheese.
STEP 8

Sprinkle the potatoes with apples with grated cheese and leave in the oven for another 10-15 minutes. During this time, the cheese will completely melt.
STEP 9

Remove the pan from the oven, sprinkle with fresh herbs and serve hot. Bon appetit!
