  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

How to make pilaf with tomato paste in a frying pan? Prepare the necessary ingredients for this. I will cook pilaf with veal. I like it because the young meat cooks quickly. But you can also take beef, pork or chicken. My rice is steamed, long grain. It turns out crumbly. You can add garlic.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Cut the meat into small pieces. Heat the frying pan until hot and pour a little vegetable oil on it. Add the chopped meat and fry for 7-10 minutes until it begins to brown.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

At this time, prepare the vegetables. Peel the onions and carrots and rinse them in running water to remove any dirt. Finely chop the onion and grate the carrots on a coarse grater.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Add onions and carrots to the meat. Add tomato paste. Mix everything, cover with a lid and cook over low heat for 20-30 minutes until the meat is soft. Add a little water if necessary.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Rinse the rice several times in cold water. Then drain all the water from it.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Place washed rice over the meat. Fill with hot water. Add salt and spices to taste. You can add bay leaf for flavor. Bring everything to a boil. Cover with a lid and cook over low heat for 15-20 minutes. The rice should become soft and absorb all the water.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

Mix the finished dish, arrange on plates and serve hot.

    Bon appetit!

For dinner I made pilaf with tomato paste. To be honest, I have never added tomato to this dish before. It turned out that the taste is very interesting. I had a small piece of pork, and I made a roast from it. I cut the onion into cubes and grated the carrots on a coarse grater. I stewed it all with tomato paste. I have regular round grain rice, I washed it in advance and soaked it in cold water for an hour. During this time, excess starch came out and the rice became “crispy”. I poured about two fingers' worth of water into the cauldron and cooked on the lowest heat under the lid. For flavor I added bay leaf and black pepper. The pilaf turned out very juicy! It looks and tastes unusual. The tomato tastes good and goes well with rice. Thanks for the recipe!
