  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

How to pickle cherry tomatoes with vinegar in a jar? Prepare all the necessary ingredients. Choose tomatoes that are elastic, dense and without visible damage. Wash the dill umbrellas well, peel the garlic and rinse together with the bay leaf in cold water. You will learn all the subtleties of winter preparations by reading the article at the end of this recipe.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Remove the stems from the tomatoes.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Wash the cherry tomatoes thoroughly and rinse under running cold water (I find it convenient to do this using a colander).

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Wash the jars and lids with soda and sterilize them in any way convenient for you. This can be done in the microwave, oven or water bath. You will learn more about sterilization methods from the article on this topic. There is a link to it at the end of the recipe.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

While the jars are hot, place a bay leaf, an umbrella of dill and two cloves of garlic on the bottom of each.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Place tomatoes in jars to the top.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

Pour boiling water, pour in carefully so that the jars do not crack.

  8. STEP 8

    STEP 8

Leave it like this for 10 minutes.

  9. STEP 9

    STEP 9

Cover the jar with a lid and pour the liquid into a small saucepan (we will then use this water to cook the brine).

  10. STEP 10

    STEP 10

Add salt and sugar, put the pan on the fire and let the brine simmer for about five minutes. Pour in the vinegar and immediately remove from heat.

  11. STEP 11

    STEP 11

Pour brine over the tomatoes and close the jars with lids. Turn the workpiece upside down and wrap it in a warm blanket. After cooling completely, put the pickled tomatoes in the cellar or in the refrigerator on the bottom shelf for long-term storage.

I made pickled cherry tomatoes for the winter in a jar. I didn’t have any fresh dill umbrellas, I just added a couple of green sprigs and a sprig of leaf celery. I didn’t change the proportions of salt and sugar, I want to try the original recipe)) Thank you, Zhemchuzhina, I have no doubt that the result will be excellent!
