  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

In order to prepare peppers in tomato sauce for the winter, prepare, in accordance with the specified proportions of products, fleshy ripe bell peppers, ground ripe tomatoes, a little garlic if desired, you will also need granulated sugar, salt, a little vinegar and vegetable oil.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Rinse the tomatoes and prepare puree in any convenient way. You can grind them in a blender bowl, you can pass them through a meat grinder, you can try to make a puree with an immersion blender, but keep in mind that in this case the juice will splash heavily to the sides.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Wash the peppers, remove the stems and the inside with seeds. Cut the pulp into strips. Place the crushed pepper in a saucepan with tomato puree. Add granulated sugar, salt and vegetable oil. Bring to a boil and simmer over low heat for 30 minutes. Then add chopped garlic if desired. Boil for 5 minutes.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Remove the peppers in tomato sauce from the heat for the winter, add vinegar, stir and place hot into prepared sterile jars and seal hermetically with sterile lids. For a more even distribution, I advise you to first spoon the larger slices of pepper into the jars, and then pour the tomato sauce and smaller pieces of pepper.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Turn the top upside down, wrap it in a warm blanket, blanket or scarf and leave it like that until the jars have cooled completely. From the specified amount of products you get approximately 9 liters of ready-made pepper.
