STEP 1

How to make mullet in foil in the oven? Prepare the following ingredients. Of course, only take fresh fish. I have a large one, about a kilogram, but you can take two smaller ones. A couple of slices of lemon is enough. You can take dry herbs (a set), or you can use fresh herbs if desired. I have basil, thyme, dill, parsley. Butter as desired.
STEP 2

Wash the fish under running water and dry. Cut it, removing the insides (necessarily the black film), trim the fins and tail. If desired, cut off the head. If you plan to serve it on a holiday table, then it is better to leave the head and tail. Cover an oven dish with foil, grease with vegetable oil, and place the fish on it. Season the mullet with salt and a little pepper on all sides and inside.
STEP 3

Wash the lemon and cut it. Place lemon slices inside the fish. Sprinkle lemon juice over the fish itself; this step can be left until the very end.
STEP 4

Wash the herbs and tear them with your hands. Place some inside the fish, and some on top. If there are dry herbs, sprinkle them also on the fish inside and outside. In general, you can take any herbs, you can refuse them altogether, adding, for example, garlic.
STEP 5

Place pieces of butter on top of the fish. Make cuts on the fish so that it is soaked and turns out tastier.
STEP 6

Cover the prepared fish with foil. If you have time, you can leave the mullet to marinate. Then put the fish in preheated to 180 degrees. oven for up to 30-40 minutes.
STEP 7

It is better to serve the finished fish immediately, hot. As a side dish you can offer fresh vegetables, rice, potatoes.
