  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

How to make meatballs in a saucepan? Prepare the necessary ingredients. Boil the rice. To do this, rinse it thoroughly in order to remove dust, dirt, and talc from the grain (it is often used to give rice a marketable appearance and increase the shelf life of the product). Rinse the rice until the water runs clear.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

After washing, boil the rice according to the instructions on the package. Mix the boiled rice and minced meat. Add salt to taste. You can add other spices, for example, coriander, basil, garlic, a mixture of peppers. You can also add green onions, dill, parsley. Mix everything and start forming the meatballs. It is better to do this with wet hands. I usually put a deep bowl of cold water nearby. And after forming each meatball, I dip my hands in water again.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

To prevent the meatballs from burning, place fresh carrots grated on a coarse grater on the bottom of the pan. Carrots can be replaced with cabbage leaves. Place them on the bottom of the pan as well.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Place the meatballs on top of the vegetables, preferably in one row. If you have a small-diameter pan and there are a lot of meatballs, then you can do it in two rows. To do this, place more grated carrots or cabbage leaves between the rows.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Mix water and tomato paste. Tomato paste can be replaced with ketchup. If desired, you can also add mayonnaise and sour cream to the filling. Add a little salt and mix everything thoroughly. Pour the mixture over the meatballs. You can also add a couple of bay leaves to give the dish a more piquant taste. Place the pan on the fire. After boiling, reduce the heat. Cook the meatballs for about 40 minutes. The exact time depends on the characteristics of your stove.

These meatballs are delicious without rice. I will also offer this version of meatballs in tomato sauce.

I did not boil the rice, but soaked it for an hour, periodically changing the water; during this time I was doing other things, so cooking the meatballs in the pan took me very little time. She mixed the washed rice with minced meat, formed balls, grated the carrots, and put everything one by one into the pan. I liked the fact that there was no need to fry the carrots. I added two bay leaves. After 40 minutes the meatballs were ready. Simple and delicious. Served with pasta.

I often prepare minced meat dishes for my children. Today I decided to cook meatballs in a saucepan using this recipe. I used homemade minced chicken. Boil the rice until tender and cool. I coarsely grated the carrots and placed them on the bottom of the saucepan. After mixing the minced meat and rice, she formed large balls and placed them in a saucepan. Added ketchup, diluted with water. I also added a bay leaf and ground coriander. Simmered on low heat for 35 minutes. The meatballs turned out wonderful. They are filling, appetizing and aromatic. Served with potatoes for dinner. The child said “I love these meatballs.” It really is very tasty. They are not dry at all, but next time I will make more sauce. The carrots were cooked perfectly and were a perfect addition to the side dish. Very simple and easy to prepare. Great recipe! Thanks to the author!
